GO! Read this now! Every bit, and the links, and ask yourself how does a blogger having a bit of fun end up so obsessed with traffic and ecosystems that such a row ensues?! Whilst as the King of Fools has highlighted for us the scandal is slowly getting resolved, it is a warning to all bloggers.
Blogging can be addictive.
Popularity and the love of it is dangerous.
Most of all, this is all a GAME- and should not be taken too seriously!!
I hope my antics over the last week or two in connection with the King of Blogs have been nowhere near this level, and certainly I was just having some fun. (I do hope people read my posts with the humour detector well and truly engaged!). But I NEVER, NEVER want to become obsessed with this blog and how many people are reading it.
Of course there will be times when one is more interested than others in what is happening- these may coincide with highly productive blogging seasons. But I hope we can all maintain perspective.
Right everyone, repeat after me ‘My name is X and I am a blogaholic, it has been 4 hours since I last checked my ecosystem stats’ and ‘I blog for myself, not for anyone else and it doesn’t matter how many people visit my blog!’
