Introducing Adrian's Pastor- Tope Koleoso

Introducing Adrian's Pastor- Tope Koleoso February 3, 2005

It seems to be the time for nice comments from people which is really very welcome. I have been a little disheartened of late, especially regarding all the debate about the penal substitution matter. We all benefit from receiving encouraging words- they are like an oasis in the desert. Words like the kind ones I will quote in this post encourage me to keep going.

Secundum Christum found my blog through Evangelical Outpost’s link to the Decablog.

He is trying to create a list of Christian Blogs ranked according to the Christ-centredness something which should make for interesting reading. He is kind enough to say that he feels that my blog is likely to be on his shortlist, and even visited my church’s page to listen to some sermons.

He began to listen to a sermon on the Vision of Jubilee Church which he describes as follows “Don’t have time this morning to listen to the whole sermon….but have had sufficient time to know that I want to listen to the whole thing. It isn’t Jubilee Church that has me excited but rather the notion that the foundation being laid for the vision is so clearly Christ based…..

I’ve listened to the first fifteen minutes and the ‘Christ Based Filter’ lights are all blazing green, I think I’ve found the first candidate for this list. Wow.”

This is so nice, but is made easier for me to highlight by the fact that it is in fact my pastor Tope Koleoso preaching. I just want to say right now that Tope is a man of God who I am proud to serve alongside. To have him as my pastor is a great priviledge. Trust me if you enjoy this blog you will love listening to his sermons at least as much as mine. He is a real leader of men who cares for me in such a godly way. He is gentle, loving and a real freind but not afraid to tell me when I am in the wrong. He is the man I listen to most. Please don’t blame him for this blog, although I know he does read it from time to time and would pull me up if I went out of line. But do give him credit. If I am anything there are a small handful of people including other pastors I have known and my wife without whom I would be nothing. Yes we lean on Christ but like Jonathon for David, Tope helps me to find my stength in God and for that I am eternally greatful.

Tope is considering starting a blog- alright lets put it this way I am nagging him to do so! I would appreciate it so much if some of my regular readers would drop him a line at info@jubilee-church.org ancouraging him to do just that and thanking him for caring for me.
