Well, we have one thing in common. Already got 14th December 2012 written into next year’s diary.
Apparently I also have at least one thing in common with Marc as well.
We might turn you into a Catholic yet if you’re into Tolkien.
I think I just squealed like a little girl… and I’m not ashamed.
You may enjoy this, too: How social media, web and mobile tell the story of the Nativity. Christmas story told through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Wikipedia, Google Maps, GMail, Foursquare, Amazon…
Yes! yes yes yes I can’t wait.
This is like… the 50th time I’ve watched it since twenty minutes after it was released online….
Yes! Yes! YES! You will know where to find me at 12:00 am December 14!
It seems like they’re trying to tie it in more with the Trilogy, which is a very interesting idea. I wonder what’s up with Galadriel and Gandalf.
Spoiler Alert(?) … at least for those that haven’t read all the various books, including Unfinished Tales. My guess is that it’s tied to a meeting of the White Council … which included as members both Galadriel and Gandalf (as well as Saruman and Radagast, who are also in the movie) — either the one that occurred at the time of Bilbo’s adventure, or perhaps in a flashback 90 years to the preceding meeting in 2851 T.A.. That brief clip of Galadriel and Gandalf appears to be in Rivendell, and I believe that is where the 2851 meeting was held; also that meeting was shortly after Gandalf entered Dol Guldur and retrieved the Lonely Mountain map and key from Thrain II … which would make it all very relevant to “The Hobbit” narrative.
ok, you scare me….
Yesssssss. You’ve GOT to watch the youtube videos of the movie making process with Peter Jackson. So excited!!!
When I saw what it was you were talking about I almost laughed out loud. I have to say, I did not see that coming. I like how the trailer is “nough said.”
