"I don't play games for fun"

Getting burned out on games isn’t something many of us struggle with, but in this article on the subject, I found this quote which I found fascinating:

The last thing I do is play games for fun. They stress me out. And that’s a big part of the reason why I like them, strangely enough. When I get home after eight hours of sitting on my butt updating a spreadsheet, I need some excitement. That’s something video games can provide.

    Some games stress me out, I don’t like it, I don’t play them much. I like games that either allow me to relax and have fun or use a different part of my brain.
    Also, I don’t see what this has to do with game burnout, I think that’s a different thing.
