Dr. Phil Can’t Fix Your Marriage – sure good ole Phil has lots of good things to say, but a truly successful marriage is one made up of a wife and a husband who are pursuing a common goal.

    Great words, Drew.

“What your marriage needs is not more compromises but a common and worthy goal.”

I think you could replace ‘your marriage’ with many things. A worthy cause can relegate petty differences to the background. The idle argue.

Churches come to mind. “Hymns or Contemporary?” is the wrong question.

    Thanks Matt.

Yeah I have found this to be true of my marriage–what helps Jennifer and I to grow in our relationship is pursuing the common interest of seeking Christ.

I think the great problems of most marriages are tied to seeking completely different goals.
