While I never got past Grade 5 piano myself, my own family has been profoundly involved in music — my mother has played in worship groups and recently started selling harps; my sister is currently studying music at UVic; and one of the “illustrious singers” named here, Colin Balzer, is married to a cousin of mine (he literally burst into song as her father was taking her down the aisle) — so I recognize a lot of what this article talks about.
