It’s becoming increasingly difficult to watch NFL games since one of America’s favorite past times has become the mouthpiece for the Black Lives Matter movement. It’s all thanks to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s sit-in protests during the pre-game national anthem which has now spurred other players to join in.
Below are 15 players across 7 teams who are joining “Kap” in ruining the NFL:
1. Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid
San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick, the originator, and teammate Eric Reid have joined forces to protest America by sitting during the national anthem. They’ve “upgraded” to kneeling instead of sitting. According to their logic that better honors the military while still making a statement on behalf of Black Lives Matter:
“When there’s significant change and I feel that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent, and this country is representing people the way that it’s supposed to, I’ll stand.”
