7 Quick Takes Friday

7 Quick Takes Friday October 26, 2012

I don’t know about you all, but I cannot wait for this election cycle to be over. Seriously.

Whenever they talk I am reminded of that scene from Billy Madison:

“At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room… is now dumber… for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Exactly.

In other news, I decided to reward myself the other day after a blood draw that hurt so much I *almost* cursed like a sailor while she took it. But I did not, so it was off to Target for a non-food treat.

I decided to finally buy the Mumford and Sons CD that I’ve been thinking about for a while.

Best decision I’ve made in a long time. Seriously, that album is so good it made me cry. More than once.

I mean, it could have been the music, or the deep abiding sorrow. Probably a combination of the two.  Just saying.

Thank you for the comments on my post from yesterday. I really appreicate it.

It’s easy to start feeling all like, “Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen….” but really, that is not true.

Thanks for the reminder that no, not every.single.person on the internet is pregnant right now, even if it sure feels that way.

Next week I have an appointment with the NaPro doc on Halloween. Maybe I’ll dress up like a busted up ovary? Oh wait…on Halloween you are supposed to dress as something you aren’t already…Oops.

Anyway, we’ll be discussing the shit show that has been my blood work. How I missed ONE frakking blood draw because we were in South Bend and how without the numbers from that weekend, we do not even know if I am post peak right now or not. Based on my chart we are P+8 today, but….based on the blood….who knows. Like I said yesterday, there are no answers.

We are taking Maggie to the ZooBOO at the Zoo tomorrow evening, which should be a lot of fun. She’s going as a ladybug (shhh! don’t tell it’s the same costume she wore last year).

I’ll try and snap some pictures and post them next week.

How about those Irish?

Ranked 5th in the nation. Undefeated at 7-0 for the first time in ten years.

Playing Oklahoma Saturday night. I know where I’ll be. Drinking straight from the bottle of 2 buck Chuck and wearing sweatpants, sitting on my couch.

1.

Sorry for the Debbie Downer posts, but like I said once upon a time, I keeps it real up here, and it’s really real.

Oh, and funny.

Because if you can’t laugh, the terrorists win.

Have a great weekend and go see Jen for more quick takes!
