Pastors, For Your People

Kris and I will be leading a tour this next May of Turkey (one week) and Israel (little less than a week). The Israel tour will involve a four day hike from Nazareth to Capernaum, and I can think of no better way to experience the realities of the Holy Land than hiking those days through Galilee.

While we are in Turkey I will be teaching from my next book, a book on Paul and what he says about Christian living. And in Israel we will be teaching the parables of Jesus — among other things.

Some churches have tours to Israel, but if you don’t, we would like you to consider passing this information on to your church — perhaps through your FB page or a tweet or even posting the link in your bulletin:

Having visited Israel multiple times, and having been in both Israel (and on a portion of The Jesus Trail while in Israel) and Turkey both in the last year, I cannot say enough how beneficial a pilgrimage trip like this can be — and that’s even before talking about it as incredibly enjoyable. The whole of walking where (and how) Jesus walked, connecting with the beauty of the Galilee, the awesomeness of Jerusalem, and too visiting places like the incredible Ephesus will be a life changer, and bring the Scriptures alive, for anyone experiencing this trip.
