Women in Ministry: Summer Course at Northern

This summer at Northern Seminary I will teach a public-open course on Women in Ministry.

Here is a list of our summer offerings, and my course on Women in Ministry will be taught June 17-21. Here’s the official edu-scoop:

Women in Ministry will focus on understanding, recognizing and encouraging the gifts God has given to women in the church. The course will focus on biblical texts about women, both from the Old Testament and the New Testament, with particular concentration on problem passages. The course will also feature a section on husbands and wives and Christian marriage, developing how the Bible understands love. see also DM7110. 9:00 AM to 4:00 M June 17-21, 2013 (NT elective, Gen. elective)

If you are interested in this course, here is the contact information:  http://www.seminary.edu/about/contact-us/ or e-mail at: admissions@seminary.edu.

  • Will John Piper be there?

  • scotmcknight

    If he pays tuition!

  • RJS

Oh, tuition. I knew there was a catch to this.

  • Mabel

If John Piper wants to take this course, I will pay his tuition.

  • Peter

Give me a MOOC with a modest fee and I am in! As a soon to be ex-seminarian, I am always interested in continuing my education while in a yet to be determined church ministry (hopefully with an educational advancement stipend).

Because I cannot make it to this fascinating cource can we at least see the syllabus? That would be helpful in getting an idea of what the discussion is.

  • Rebekah

    LOL to Mike’s question…. 🙂

  • Gail

I’m with Peter – this is so needed and we would fill your class! Can we petition for an online section? 🙂 So glad you are offering this!

  • Amy

I agree with Gail, an online offering would be excellent! I’m an undergrad at Cincinnati Christian University and would love to have an option for this kind of class.

  • Margie

Yes, Please share the syllabus, and an online section would be wonderful. I wll be in the spiritually barren Northeast for most of the summer and I would be thrilled to have this opportunity.
