Make a Difference

There is a famine underway in Somalia. Yes. I understand that famines don’t just happen overnight. This one has been years in the making. Years of crop failures and years of political unrest and mismanagement.

If you are looking for a pretty good analysis of at least part of the problem, click this link to the NPR story.

Hungry children don’t care about the politics that led to their hunger. They only want to eat.

There are a lot of problems in the world we can’t solve.

Hunger is one we can.

Every $10 counts. It feeds somebody. You may already be giving to a charity of your choice that is working on behalf of the starving in Somalia. If you are — thank you.

If you aren’t, you can click this link and donate to World Vision. ┬áThis is literally one way you can make an impact on the world.

I was so happy to see the World Vision logo on your post today! We support ten of their children and I must admit, it is the very thing that brings me the most joy in my life. I am so grateful to the wonderful people that work at World Vision. They make a difference!! Thank you for hi-lighting them today.
