    In societies with extreme gender segregation like Saudia Arabia and Afghanistan, unmarried men see women unrelated to them so rarely that they’ll lust after anything. It’s why the Burka was invented, to cover even the eyes (which can indeed look very attractive when you see nothing else).

    @lucrezaborgia Interesting answer. Not unlike legalistic Christian groups — if it was a common practice at the time the “rule” was written, it is permissible. Anything newer, even if it is the same principle, is wrong.

    The real difference between kohl and eyeliner? Kohl of usually lead-based and harmful to the wearer in the long run.
