Success!

Success! October 13, 2011

After ten years, not a single solitary Church remains in Afghanistan!  USA!  USA!

Similar triumphs are being achieved in our War for Freedom in Iraq.  And the Christian presence in the Holy Land is likewise benefiting from our just and wise policies with our dear good friend Israel.

I’ve never forgotten the words of Christopher Hitchens, the purest neocon:

George Bush may subjectively be a Christian, but he—and the U.S. armed forces—have objectively done more for secularism than the whole of the American agnostic community combined and doubled.

Indeed.  And now Bush’s heir in the White House continues to create a world where, strangely, things are made much safer for rich and powerful people, but not so much for the Churches, nor for the people to whom we are allegedly bringing freedom.  For now, that’s bad because he’s a Democrat and the GOP noise machine can pretend to care about the destruction of the Churches as a stick to beat him with.  If he loses in 2012, those policies will suddenly be good again because then the GOP will be administering them.  I’ll give this to Obama, at least he openly acknowledges his hostility to the Church.  I prefer such honesty to the Judas kiss of secular policy wonks whose long term plans result in the profound destruction of the Church all over the Mideast–a Church that has been there since the time of the New Testament–all while garnering the applause of a bunch of Evangelicals who have no concept of the history and culture they are trampling into the dust in pursuit of their crazy dispensationalist theories.
