Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I am writing to request your prayers and the prayers of your readership for my wife. She has stage 3 stomach cancer and is undergoing both radiation and chemotherapy. She has had so much pain and suffering. The location of the tumor has interfered with her ability to eat and is large enough with edema that it presses down on the nerve cells in her back which causes bone crushing pain. Now the nausea and other side effects from the treatments are taking their toll. Please pray for her healing, consolation, and conversion. Your prayers and the prayers of others will echo in eternity.

Father, hear our prayer for this woman’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Relieve her pain, take away her edema, and take away her nausea. Grant her the grace of healing, consolation, and conversion to Christ Crucified and triumphant over death. Give her caregivers wisdom, skill, and compassion and give her husband and all who love her grace, strength and peace. Mother Mary, St. Luke and St. Peregrine, pray for her. We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
