Urgent Prayer Request

Jen Fulwiler is in the hospital with pulmonary embolisms in both lungs. She is also pregnant.

A mutual friend spoke with her earlier this morning, and kept the conversation short because of the coughing caused by her condition.

She said she would be grateful for prayers because these things are unpredictable.

She said she’s undergoing a lot of tests and taking blood thinners, and said the most important thing was that her unborn son is doing well.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing, for skill, wisdom, and compassion for her caregivers, for a healthy and safe delivery for her baby and her, and for peace, grace, and strength for her and all who love her.  Mother Mary, St. Luke and St. Gerard Majella, pray for all concerned.  We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord.  May your Name be praised and glorified in all this, Blessed Trinity.

    This could be important.

I am assuming that Jen is on the Coumadin protocol. My wife underwent a similar circumstance during her last pregnancy. It is very important, the standard Coumadin protocol _may_not_ work for pregnant women. Most physicians (as of two years ago) are not aware of this.

I would suggest that Jen’s doctor contact Dr. Alexander Duncan at Emory in Atlanta as soon as possible.

    Good luck.

Ah, looks like she was discharged, so the protocol must have worked as intended for her.

Good luck, then, for her, it is a promising sign that she responded so quickly.

I will pray for them both.

I offer my prayers through the intercession of St. Gianna Beretta Molla.

I said the rosary last night as soon as I heard, and have been praying during the day today and will continue.

My daughter is in an unhealthy relationship and I fear for her as well as her expartner. She is very hard to listen to advice and I am asking for prayers that she may open up her heart and listen to me for I have asked her to leave this young man who is the father of her child. Please help me pray that she may listen and learn that this relationship is sickening. Also, I ask you to please pray for my 83 year old father who is in a CNA facility waiting to have surgery of stomach cancer. Help me make him understand that the surgery is not necessary because he is not hurting at all. I believe this surgery is going to make him worse, and if it’s God’s will for him to live without surgery, then let it be.

PLEASE PRAY WITH ME AND FOR ME, AMEN.
