One last prayer request for the day

A reader writes:

Please pray for me and my husband – we seem to be encountering primary unexplained infertility and we desire so dearly to have a family. Please pray that the Lord would bless us with children, and we would be given the graces to endure patiently, persevere in prayer, and courageously face all future diagnoses. St. Joseph, St. Philomena, St. Gianna, St. Gerard, pray for us.

Father, hear our prayer and grant them the graces they seek and children to the glory of your Name through Jesus Christ!  Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them!

You might like to check out NaPro Technology – thoroughly Catholic

Seconded! The PPVI Institute (which is, I believe, the umbrella which napro falls under) has helped several friends and acquaintances of mine with these issues. They work within the moral parameters of the Catholic Church in finding and treating causes of infertility.

NaPro doesn’t always work. I’m infertile and my PPVI institute trained doctor can’t figure out why and can’t do anything about it.

    Said a prayer for you.

Here’s some hard advice (was in your shoes for a LONG time): accept your cross or focus on something else. While it’s hard, hard, hard to do, it’s vital to getting and staying pregnant for people like us. A lot of people make the mistake of falling into the normal routine: (1) get married, (2) man goes to work, (3) woman puts on apron and puts pie in oven and waits, day after day, year after year, to get pregnant–and then starts dwelling on it, constantly thinking about it. Get a job that keeps you extremely busy or not as busy but is thoroughly exhausting; volunteer doing something; travel; make pilgrimages, especially a crazy or physically demanding one that just breaks you down but lifts up your soul–but don’t do it “for a baby.” Just do it. Or do all of those. Also, girls, lose weight, eat healthy and exercise–but not too much! If you run five miles a day or “training for a marathon”–stop it!

Don’t dwell on your infertility. It can be a soul killer. Either accept it as an occasion of grace, one of the heaviest crosses known to man (my personal favorite is daily meeting with people who could not care less for their four or five beautiful children–ouch!), or find something else to do with your time and energy. There’s a reason for the wives’ tale that adoptive parents frequently get pregnant not long after adopting. I’ll pray for you.

I offer my prayers through the intercession of St. Gianna.

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls – Pray for Sina,Me,Ryan,Charles, Lakitha & Brittany success in our labor, establish the work of our hands, establish thou it. Matt7:7 Amen

Please pray for a miracle for the restoration of my marriage, the
cancellation of the pending divorce decree. I also request you to pray for the
conversion of my husband Marc-Andre and the repentance of the adulterous woman,
Renee, who stole my husband away from me. Also for my in-laws who are pushing
    this divorce.

Thank you for your prayers, God bless you
