Two Urgent Prayer Requests

Two Urgent Prayer Requests March 21, 2013

A reader writes:

I’m a regular reader of your blog, and I really enjoy it. I don’t comment or anything, but I always see your urgent prayer requests and pray along with everyone else for those intentions. Now some friends of mine are in desperate need of prayers and I am trying to spread the word to as many people possible.

My friend’s six-month-old baby girl, Hadley, was recently diagnosed with cancer. They initially diagnosed her with a a highly treatable form, but a second opinion and additional tests revealed that the original diagnosis was incorrect and it is, in fact, a form with a very low cure rate – rhabdoid tumor, stage IV. We are all heartbroken, obviously, and are praying for a miracle. Please pray for Hadley’s healing and for strength and comfort for her parents, Josh and Lauren, and the rest of their family.

There’s a Facebook page, in case you want to know more: Prayers for Hadley Hartman

Father, hear our prayer for Hadley’s complete healing in body, soul, mind, and spirit.  Grant grace, wisdom, knowledge, compassion and skill to her caregivers and grace, peace, and strength to all who love her.  Mother Mary, St. Luke and St. Peregrine, pray for them all.  We ask that you do all this to the glory of your Name through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Another reader writes:

Please pray for my daughter. She has become addicted to prescription drugs and has left her husband and 4 children. Sshe is now living with a man who is addicted to heroin. My son in law and grandchildren are devestated and so am I.

Father, we ask that you who brought Israel out of bondage, Lazarus out of the grave, and Jesus from the pit would free your daughter from this bondage and return her to you and to her family to the glory of your Name.  Give her the grace and help of the Spirit to seek the help she needs and made the hard choices she must make to do what is right.  Give all who love her grace, peace, and strength.  Send your Holy Angels to make war on any demonic powers at work here and break their grip.  Strengthen her body’s natural powers to resist this addiction.  Mother Mary, pray for her and all who love and  care for her.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I truly appreciate your prayers for this sweet baby girl.
