Yet Another Chance to do a Work of Mercy

I noticed at times you have posted links on your blog to help  raise awareness of people who need help etc. Some close  friends of mine are in a tough situation with his beautiful young 7 month old daughter Sophie. She was born with a condition called syndactylism , basically the bones between her thumb and her index finger on her left hand are fused together and the only way to possibly fix it is through surgery. Unfortunately insurance does not pay for the procedure at all, since they consider this a pre existing condition. The family is doing all they can to try to pay for the procedure, but frankly its a large amount that is needed  and they could really use any help at all at this time. The dad has already taken on extra jobs etc to try to pay for it. He is a good man, a recent convert himself. I just wanted let you know that over $1100 was raised( the total is now $1455) just in the past 12 hours. I would say a fair margin at least over half of that came from your readers .
