Prayer Request

Prayer Request June 4, 2015

A reader writes:

Yet another prayer request for your blog, please? Kreed the nonverbal autistic teenager we’ve been praying and fundraising for for so long is having some kind of severe medical emergency–despite the fact that he’s usually a very well behaved and loving child, his behavior is suddenly raging completely out of control and since he’s seventeen now his parents are finding that they’re not strong enough to keep him from harming himself or others. Thankfully he’s moved to a new city where doctors are willing to take his symptoms seriously instead of always blaming autism. The new doctor has ordered an MRI as she suspects a “Potts Puffy Tumor” in his head. I’ll keep you and the readers posted as we find out what’s wrong. If the doctor’s suspicion is correct he will have to have immediate surgery to keep the tumor from spreading to his brain and killing him. Obviously his parents are terrified, this has been a horrible long road and their beloved son could die at any time from his health problems.

Father, hear our prayer for Kreed’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give his caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, creativity, insight, skill, and the proper technology to assist in that healing and give him and all who love him grace, peace, consolation, strength, faith, hope, and love.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for him.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
