Grief

For Las Vegas and for our demented nation of violence that keeps making sure this happens over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD!
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications!

¶ If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities,
Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with you,
that you may be feared.

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the LORD
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, hope in the LORD!
For with the LORD there is mercy,
and with him is plenteous redemption.
And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities. (Ps 130:1–8).

Tomorrow we talk about action.  Today we cry our guts out–again–and pray.
