I’ve never paid any attention to Gore Vidal

…which I now consider to be a blessing. Here is the Great Man, explaining why Roman Polanski’s 13 year old rape victim had it coming and demonstrating once again that, for so many of our cultural elites, sex with kids is fine if you are the Right Sort of Roman.

Makes me appreciate this moment in TV history all the more:

Vidal seems to me to be somebody who could benefit greatly from a good punch in the face. Perhaps several. Starting with the rape victim he callously defames. Odious man.
