Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I’d like to ask you and your readers for prayers once more. A 19-year-old from my parish was struck by a car and killed last night. He was a Eucharistic minister and a former alter server, and he went to school with my brother. His family is obviously devastated. Prayers for his eternal rest, as well as for the comfort, strength, and faith of his family, are much needed and appreciated. Thank you.

Father, hear our prayer for the repose of that young man’s soul, for mercy for the driver, and for the consolation of his family through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
