Birthdays, Spiritual and Physical

In what has to be a sort of divine pun, today is the birthday of my good friend Dale Ahlquist, President of the American Chesterton Society, as well as the spiritual birthday of G.K. Chesterton, who died 75 years ago.

I have a little appreciation of Chesterton up at Headline Bistro today. It barely scratches the surface of the debt I owe this good, great, funny and holy man. But I only had a few hundred words to work with. There are only a few men I consider my spiritual fathers. He is one of them. May God speed the day when he is canonized, I pray through our Lord Jesus.
