    Actually the one American I think would make the best Pope is not a Cardinal. That’s Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelpia. I assume he doesn’t have a chance, but his temperment, views, and knowledge would make him perfect.

      I agree with you, Manny. Abp. Chaput is AWESOME. It’s too bad he isn’t a cardinal yet (he will be soon.) If he can’t be Pope, can we make him overseer of the entire U.S.? ;-) I think Dolan and Burke would both make good Popes too, but the main thing is to pray that the Cardinals will be able to discern the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and ask for the intercession of Mary for the conclave as well.
