Missionary Sister Talks about Christians in the Holy Land

I have friends who spent a long time in Papua New Guinea, working as missionaries for Wycliffe Bible Translators.

It is true that God calls special people for this work. They don’t look different than the rest of us. The differences are inside, but they are profound.

In this video, a missionary sister in the Holy Land talks about the challenges Christians who live there must face.

Bless the men and women who work for the Christians in a rather hostile place. Bless those who live in such areas – their lives is a life of daily martyrdom.
I have many friends and relatives in Israel. Many are health care workers, domestic helpers, construction workers. I do not know how they could cope with the starkly different way of life. I am glad to know that they can find spiritual support. When we, Filipinos, try to make a positive spin about our workforce being exported to all sorts of places int he world, we tell ourselves that one day, we will make Filipinos of the world. :-)
