I thought “Eurotrash Girl” was by Chicks on Speed. I think maybe the Cracker version is a cover. Or maybe it’s the other way around…

“…everything I’ve had but couldn’t keep.” What a song. Long ago I said I would give a year of my life to write anything as good as that line in “Pale Blue Eyes.” Looking back on it, I’d say the price was too low.
Of course, when I think of this song, I hear REM’s version from Dead Letter Office. You may now sneer at me in hipster disdain.

I thought of you as my mountain top.
Until I say “heartbreak beat” on your list. That is one of the worst songs ever!

Feeling old and out of it…the only song I recognize from this list is “Midnight Train to Georgia”!

Is the Cat Power a cover?

Hey man, “Heartbreak Beat” is a fun song. What’s your beef?
