Trump said a certain word THREE TIMES in his inaugural speech, and it’s making Americans giddy January 20, 2017

One thing struck me as I watched Donald Trump give his inaugural speech: he barely spoke about himself.

In fact, looking through a transcript, I found he did so only three times:

“The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans….

“I will fight for you with every breath in my body – and I will never, ever let you down.”

It took just over six minutes for him to speak in the first person. The rest of the 16.5-minute speech, the newly sworn-in president spoke about the rest of us: We the People.

“We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and to restore its promise for all of our people,” President Trump said. “Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for years to come.”

And then he added, “January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.”

Former President Obama — ah, that felt good to say — never said anything like that.

If he were to have given the speech, it would’ve sounded like he was warming up his voice to sing: “me, me, me, me, me.”

There have been so many examples over the last years that his speeches, even speeches he gave campaigning for Hillary Clinton, where he referenced himself — “I” or “me,” hundreds of times and often in just ONE speech.

It was so refreshing to hear an unselfish speech for once.  In fact, it makes me almost giddy that the Oval Office has been relieved of such ego. Thank you, President Trump, for confirming what our Founding Fathers believed. WE hold the power, not Washington.
