No, that header is not about my mood just now (bad) or about what feels like a daily barrage of news that seems overloaded with change and short on hope.

It’s a bit more transcendent than that, and it seems to me that a few deep breaths and a bit of transcendence is urgently called for, right about now.

    Funniest comment about global warming I ever read was someone breathlessly warning that unless we do something RIGHT NOW in the next hundred years SIX BILLION innocent people WILL DIE!!!

    There is no ache or pain imaginable that can’t be made much worse by using Google at 2.30 in the morning.

    For what IT’s worth

    I’ve got a funny feeling that The Judgement Day won’t be for Trillions of Years yet, not only because I believe that our cells, and we have so many of them, will each get a chance at life because I also believe that our Old Man, I mean our Heavenly Father has a sense of humor. You see, I believe that HE’s taken a liking to some of Darwin’s cells and is playing a game with him and a few other geniuses. You don’t see?

    Ok! Don’t worry bout “IT” cause we His faithful sheep, I mean we His good Christian followers who believe that we are truly made in His Image and with the help of Jesus Christ will all be in paradise before that moment ever comes around.

    Hey don’t tell any of the ones ‘Left Behind’ but I honestly believe that Our Heavenly Father is really all LOVE which makes Him a push over and I’m sure that after the old goats find themselves in Hell’s Burning Fires, He’ll take a quick glance now and then to see if there’s any in there ready to be born again. Go Figure!

    So, let me see if I understand this: You’re leaving for Roma & you’re in a bad mood? Hmmm. I’ll bet its nothing that a summer’s evening sitting outside watching the kids run around the piazza & sipping merlot in Trastevere can’t cure!
    At least, that’s always worked for me ;-)

    Cheerful picture to see first thing in the morning. Few images are more horrible than a nuclear blast. That is one invention that the world could have done without. Curse the evil people who invented that monstrous weapon.

    Oh, so you were being human? Take a good deep breath and say, as my Mom always did, “Oh, Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee.” And then sing. It usually helps a lot!
