what can you buy for $905.00 …

… two one way tickets for The Boy and I to Malta.

Perhaps now would be an apropos time to install that paypal donation button like I have been contemplating. Alms for the poor, anyone?

…ah, Valletta.

  • Post photos of your food, and your readers will surely pay for your vacation. You can spend it drinking in public houses and playing with your mobile.

  • MWA HA HA HA… you are truly evil. But I like it. My food might get me some pitty donations though.

  • I wanted to go to Malta until I discovered there's no trees there. Nothing green at all. Bleah.

Maybe no green, but ah, those blues… cerulean blue sky, sapphire blue sea.One way tickets may raise eyebrows at TSA, not to mention Maltese customs.Got visa (not VISA) ??Whatever. Take me too!Pax&Bonum;.

You don't need a visa to visit Malta. There are no direct flights from the US so you have to catch a connection either in England or in Italy. Summer is the worst time to go as that is the hottest. Seriously. I can stand in the sun for hours here in New York and I get a nice tan. I never burn here. One hour waiting for the bus during the siesta time there in Malta and I was sunburned. I hear spring and fall are better times to visit and it even rains at that time of year. No trees, but it's still beautiful. Really, really beautiful. The sea, the sea! And the churches are jewels of baroque goodness. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

  • I love so much this photo!!!

  • ah Valletta…magnifique!!
