May God Console Them…

… I am at a total loss. All around the internet people are noting how they plan to go home & hug their children and offer their prayers for the victims and their families. That sounds like a mighty good plan.

Then there’s the seedier politically opportunistic and pathetically cynical crowd using this, without full knowledge of the details, to support whatever political ideology they may have on gun control. Please, don’t let them bait you and draw your mind and heart from all that is truly important right now, prayer. Don’t visit their blogs, click on their links, or waste a precious moment in engaging them. Instead try to imagine how incredibly difficult and hopeless this may seem to those lacking faith. Include them in your prayers as well.

My prayers are with the victims and their families. The pain of losing a child is the hardest thing ever. Of this I know personally.
