Oh, Silly Me…

… So a guy walks into a bar. Around his neck hangs a rosary.

Oh, I ask, are you Catholic?

He replies, “Oh, this thing? No. I just wear it for good luck. You know, like a talisman. I’m actually an atheist. I don’t believe in God. That’d be silly.”

    A couple of years ago I gave up explaining that the rosary wasn’t a fashion statement. It had become a popular sort of ‘necklace’ at our local high school.

      They’re also a gang symbol, which is why some schools are outlawing wearing them.

    Situations like this is why I try to buy them at second hand stores and place them in a perpetual adoration chapel where they will be used correctly.
