Gone Till Tuesday…

… Oh my gosh, y’all! I’m leaving tomorrow morning for Seattle to have my first real speaking engagement. I mean, I speak all the time, but this time someone will actually be listening. I know!

If all goes well, maybe this will open the door for me to have future speaking gigs. I wonder who you gotta know to get booked to speak at the L.A. Religious Education Conference. Can’t you just picture it?

You’re a heretic! You’re a heretic! You’re going to hell! So are you! Everybody is going to hell!!!!!!

Break a leg. Oh, never mind. Good luck is the residue of hard work.

Happy for you. Hope things go well.

Fine list of speakers–too bad it is on the other side of the country. I’m not going to tell you to relax, etc., because I sure didn’t relax the first time I spoke at a conference, but I did okay. And when you participate as a speaker, you feel like an “insider,” which helps more than you might expect. I’m happy you got this opportunity: here’ s to many more opportunities.

I like how the conference billed you: “Katrina Fernandez is an incurable smart aleck that studied art history at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she learned Modern Art makes Baby Jesus cry. From that moment on she vowed to bring beauty to the masses (pun intended). Fueled by her passions she’s been authoring the Crescat since 2006, where she writes about art, music, humor, and finding love.”

      I like that too.

Can’t wait to hear the report! May this be the first of many such opportunities!

I am so upset! I saw you passed through Utah on your way and our mutual friend, Fr. Erik did not invite me to meet you! Anyhoo, good luck in Seattle!
