I appreciate a good burger more than anything. But McDonald’s newest demonstration of its incredible “wokeness” is enough to make my stomach turn. Trey Sanchez over at Truth Revolt has the scoop about how the fast food franchise turned their iconic golden arches upside down to celebrate women.
March 8th is International Women’s Day and in celebration of feminism, McDonald’s restaurants are turning the iconic golden arches upside down to create a bat signal-sized, virtue-signaling “W” in the sky.
The move is being heralded as a “celebration of women everywhere” and to “honor… the extraordinary accomplishments of women everywhere and especially in our restaurants,” said a spokesperson for the burger and fries chain.
Along with the letter reversal, the company’s social media accounts will be changing to the temporary logo and 100 restaurants around the country will have special “packaging, crew shirts and hats and bag stuffers.” But not to worry, the “W” will be flipped back around to “M” by the end of the week and apparently back to its real meaning: misogyny.
That is not what I want to see when I order food. How about a clean restaurant, nice cashiers, and accurate orders? That’s enough for me. I don’t need them to congratulate me for being born a female.
Oh wait, did I offend some lefties out there? I know in 2018, you’re supposed to pretend that there are no gender differences at all… so maybe McDonald’s didn’t get that memo.
As Sanchez wrote, “Perhaps McDonald’s will have a new recipe for its classic Big Mac for women’s day: two all-woke patties, special pronouns, leftist, cheesy, progressive feminists on a virtue-signaling bun.”
