4) GMOs make our food taste better

As Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson explains in the video below, humans have been using artificial selection to make our food taste better for thousands of years! Before we had the biotechnology, farmers would breed the food crops that were the biggest or juiciest. Now we can save much of that trouble by doing it in the lab! There is also some science showing how people prefer the taste of GMOs vegetables compared to non-GMO vegetables in a blind taste test as well. So next time you take a bite of that deliciously sweet apple, you can thank genetic modification.
