Call to End Capital Punishment Unites Diverse Catholic Media – What Happens Next?

Earlier today, the editorial boards of the National Catholic Register, Our Sunday Visitor, America Magazine, and the National Catholic Reporter issued a joint statement calling for the end to capital punishment in the U.S. It is a rare, rare event when all four politically and theologically disparate publications share common ground with regards to any element of Catholic teaching, prudential or defined.
