G7 backs Africa debt relief plan

In a moment that may be the crowning glory of Gordon Brown’s career (I am not convinced he will EVER be the UK’s prime minister) the BBC reports “G7 finance ministers have backed plans to write off up to 100% of the debts of some of the world’s poorest countries.”
