Help requested with a few minor tweaks

I am allowing the new design to bed in, and would value opinions about what you like and dont like about it. In particular, which of the items on the side bar do you tend to click on, and which dont you? Are there any side bar items you would like to see go, or any that you think I should add?

Also, I have a slight glitch in that some of my posts have carriage returns that are not coming out- I think some of it is to do with the DT tag or maybe BRs or maybe both – anyone have a quick fix for my css file that will make it look how I want it to?
