The Sun- UK’s biggest selling newspaper and a well known tabloid, reports on the death of a teenager who was a sunday school teacher in a baptist church. She fell from the newest roller coaster. Perhaps unusually for tabloid journalism it is very responsible in its reporting stating:
“BRITAIN’S theme parks are extremely safe, despite high-profile tragedies like the one in which Hayley died. About 25million Brits visit them each year and they are 16 times more likely to die in their cars on the way there, experts say.
In the past seven years deaths at amusement attractions have averaged just one per year, compared with 360 from industrial accidents, more than 30 in swimming pools and 3,420 in road accidents.”
