There have been a couple of voices speaking out against the Blogdom of God. The most notable and fair of these has been IreneQ. It is time for me to answer her and one or two others. Firstly, on the point of blogs being too aggressively Christian, I think that some blogs written by Christians will be and indeed should be more explicitly Christian than others. This, like much in the blogosphere, is surely a matter of personal choice. Joshua... Read more

I am going to try and take a blog holiday and reflect over the next couple of days. Lets see how long I last! I have been reflecting on my own blog and picking out what I think some of the highlights have been since the end of April when I started. If you are mad enough to miss me whilst I am away then you can always browse my highlights list or better still visit some of the Blogdom... Read more

The thing about google bombs is that they are only an extreme form of what happens normally, with no intent to alter search engine results. I think many bloggers do not realise that we bloggers are taken very seriously by Google’s algorithms. Why else would the search for first names at google reveal that my blogging friends Joshua comes ninth in a search for ‘Joshua’ at google, Euan, perhaps due to his unusual first name comes top on the search... Read more

The subject of google bombing interests me. You might think that by now google would have fixed the well known successful manipulations of its index by bloggers. These include the following successful google bombs french military victories which provides a page suggesting the user try French military defeats (thought to have been prompted by the opposition of the French to the Iraq war), miserable failure which brings up a bio of George Bush, and weapons of mass destruction which brings... Read more

Earlier today I blogged about one of my favorite bloggers once again. Now, Euan Replies (in the comments section) The very fact that you find communication between us such a problem when we are each in our own ways trying to make sense of the world around us, makes my point for me. I have no problem talking about beliefs and faith with anyone until they start ascribing views to me which I don’t hold or start ramming their own... Read more

A while ago I blogged about one of my favorite Non God blogs The Obvious? and spoke about how much I like his blog Following on from this we had some email correspondence about my interpretation of his dream– I will leave you to interpret it rather than stating here what I thought. Anyway the following is from an Email from Euan (quoted with permission) Firstly I would have no difficulty in having anything in common with you, in fact... Read more

The Real Live preacher has retold the Christmas story in the The Christmas Story Uncut: “Then she became the first person to ask the question of the ages. This question would someday split the calendar and define history. This question would bring goodness but also dark evil to humankind. This question would be asked a thousand, thousand times for centuries to come. Who are you, my little Jesus boy? Who ARE you? “ Read more

Joshua Claybourn: “God became man; the divine Son became a Jew; the Almighty appeared on earth as a helpless human baby, unable to do more than lie and stare and wriggle and make noises, needing to be fed and changed and taught to talk like any other child. And there was no illusion or deception in this: the babyhood of the Son of God was a reality. The more you think about it, the more staggering it gets. Nothing in... Read more
