Tope Koleoso was on fire yesterday as he preached this message. It will provoke you. It will encourage you to respect God’s word in a new way. It will thrill you again with the vital role that the church plays in opening our hearts to receive the life-giving power of God’s word. Here a few soundbites from the sermon that will whet your appetite: “Nothing prepares your heart to hear from God more than regular consistent fellowship with the people... Read more

I read a fascinating article about the Kiwis observations of some emerging Christian movements. Now, those of you that are regular readers will know that I am passionately committed to Sunday Services especially when a group of believers have grown enough to sustain one. Howeve, in light of my “I want it all” committmet you should not be surprised to know that I found these observations interesting and in some cases challenging. Go read Tall Skinny Kiwi: Practices of a... Read more

If God can turn the brutal murder of a group of young missionaries around for good, how much more what you are facing today? Go read the rest o this article which begins, “Today in 1956, five missionaries to the Auca indians in Ecuador were killed. I found this great brief article about slowing down to hear Gods voice: You and I live in an often crowded and busy world. There are lots of “voices”. I can’t remember the last time I had a day with nothing to do. My home is quieter than it once was when two boys kept the hallway filled with the sounds of football, basketball, and any other sport that Mom will let them get away with in the house, but... Read more

Right now, if you visit http://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23HowGreatIsOurGod you can read the latest tweets that are helping to tell the world why we believe our God is so great! This was all prompted by 48000 people at Passion 2012 singing the popular Christian song in different languages.  I hope they are going to put the video online! Here are some of my favorites tweets... Read more

At this stage many of us are still panicking about things we need to get down work-wise before the Christmas break, let alone the things around the house. For me, I am so grateful to God for my wife who takes so much pressure away from me at this time of the year! But, in my business I have yet to get around to writing my typical review of the year’s blogging. It looks like I may have to do... Read more

The British Prime Minister’s recent obvious statement that Britain is at root a Christian nation has caused the normal uproar among the aggressive secularists. These people are fast trying to turn this nation into an atheocracy where atheism rules with as much brute force intellectually as any religious dictatorship.  Their opposition to Cameron’s words is not a great surprise.  What is perhaps more surprising to those who don’t understand the allegiance poeple of any faith are increasingly feeling for each... Read more
