12. De Afghanan (Fremont, CA) – There are multiple locations, but i’m talking about the original “hole-in-the-wall” spot here, which is literally the size of a closet. They only got seating for like 2 or 3 people on the side. They only take cash. Sometimes it get’s pretty busy, but the food is still very good. The Chapli (large ground beef patty) Kabab is great. The chicken kabab is good. The bolani with potato is pretty good as well. Note: The sit-down restaurant next door with the same name is run by the same owners so it has the same food quality and taste, but the prices are higher since you are paying for a bit of ambience and also the service.
Hours: 11:30am to 3:30pm & 5pm to 9:30pm everyday closed on Mondays.
