15. Peshawari Kababs (Union City, CA) – A unique restaurant since its a mix of Afghan, Indian and Pakistani flavors. Very authentic and flavorful “Pashtun” style food. The Seekh (Beef or Chicken) kababs are great. The chicken Kababs are a bit spicy, but still good. If you have never tried it the Lamb Karahi is great. It is pieces of lamb meat cooked in a tomato sauce with ginger, chilies and other spices. The restaurant is also HFSAA certified so they only use Hand-Slaughtered Halal meat.
Hours: 11am to 10pm everyday and until 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
