8. Darda Seafood (Milpitas, CA) – There are many “Halal Chinese” spots in the Bay Area and a lot of them are good, but one of the most consistent in terms of quality, taste and service is Darda Seafood in Milpitas (next door to San Jose). Recently a new Muslim partner joined the original Muslim Chinese owners and has made some changes for the better such as ending the sales of Chinese Beer they had in the restaurant. Some of my favorite menu items are the Hot & Sour soup, Sesame Bread, Shrimp with Walnuts, Beef Short Ribs, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Triple Layer Chowmein. P.S. They also serve “Dim Sum” (Chinese-style brunch) here on weekends.
