The Why Behind the What…
How many of our brains have been molded, programmed and essentially wired to gear itself towards the negative? It’s almost as if we’ve habituated things such as self-sabotaging behaviors, attraction to toxicity or, put another way, drawn to what feels “most comfortable.”
If you want to change your life you need to change your habits…
Our world is scary… Life, it’s just so depleting. We’re all seemingly, more so than ever, struggling… As I ride the train home here in Philadelphia, I’m seeing construction workers, blank faces staring into the glare of their iPhones,
It’s something that will force me to have to search for the good within our world.
My hope is that this will benefit us all; that this will become a space where we know that we can return to find a form of good news that is actually uplifting, empowering, motivating, and life-giving.
Plus, there’s this thing called “Positive Neural Interaction (PNI).” No, not what that book “The Secret” was selling.
But, vastly oversimplifying what this is: it’s the idea that building and creating more good in the world is not just a necessity to sustainable movements but, overall just makes life better.
The most dangerous things in the world also happened to be the most subtle; lying just beneath our radar of conscious awareness negativity creeps into our lives and slowly but steadily have the potential of altering the very trajectory of one’s life.
What it comes down to is, well, essentially why I’m starting this weekly thing up: intentionality.
If we’re not intentional negativity will consume us.
Could this be a space where we break the cycle, put a spoke in our own wheels, and intentionally choose to encourage, uplift, create stories of change and build a new?
What if this space below was only used for encouraging and uplifting others? A space to share your own positivities or even, to let others know you need a good word of encouragement…
I’m going to post these as much as necessary and of course within my capacity.
