Were Concealed Weapons Standard Practice for Men During Jesus’ Time?

Maybe Jesus was fulfilling prophecy?

37 It is written: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors’[b]; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.” – Luke 22

Again, Isaiah 53… summarizing what those biblical scholars are all seeming to echo; in that, Jesus here was merely fulfilling prophecy and that in order for Him to be labeled as a leader of violent resistors, thieves and “transgressors,” He would need to be surrounded by men who appeared to be just that.

Although, it must be considered how widely manipulated our texts are, let alone how the overarching narrative of “the passion” shapes and highly impacts subconscious forms of projections that lead us into easily making sense of this argument.
