What Would Happen If We Cut Our Military Budget In Half?

And look, this is the problem with politics…

Much of our Military/Defense budget provides for jobs across our country. Doing away with this budget will do away with thousands of jobs within the US. I think they call this part of the “Military Industrial Complex”(?).

Which is partially why this particular jet fighter is said to be a disaster yet, Congress is said to keep backing it….

I’m left wondering, as profitable as “war” is… can there not be another way for these corporate juggernauts to continue increasing their financial quarterlies without having to be so militant (literally)?

Part of our defense is taking care of the people that live within our borders and not just attacking people who live outside of them. As we’re getting savvier, technologically speaking, what if we also became a bit more creative in loving our so-called “enemies” by creating and designing better technology to help feed and empower the oppressed?

Again, what do I know? Truly. I’m just some guy who’d love to hear y’all’s constructive critiques for the purpose of us all learning together.
