As with any bought of roughhousing, there is a winner and a loser.   Researchers encourage fathers to allow their children to win AND to lose during the roughhousing.  This way, they learn how to do both gracefully.  A parent can use the child’s loss at roughhousing as a means to teach the child that we must maintain a good attitude towards others whether we win or lose.
