Second stop: Wearing Ihram at Johfah near Medina
We left Medina for Makkah after evening prayers. On the way, we stopped at Johfah one of the Miqats– a place to wear the Ihram. Miqat means “a stated place”. There are five designated places where the pilgrims can put the Ihram on- for men that means putting two unstitched pieces of clothes as you will see on the video. The next requirement is to offer two Rak’ah Salah and then do Talbiya, a call declaring “Here I am, O God”.
