Gregory T. Smith lives in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia and works in northern Washington State as a behavioral health specialist with people experiencing
homelessness and those impacted by the criminal justice system. Before entering social services, he spent more than twenty-five years in pastoral ministry, serving as lead pastor in several Virginia congregations and writing the long-running newspaper column “Spirit and Truth.” He is a regular blogger at Patheos.com and a contributing author to the Patheos/Quoir Publishing volume Sitting in the Shade of Another Tree: What We Learn by Listening to Other Faiths. Greg holds a degree in Religious Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University and pursued additional theological studies at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. He is married to Christina, and together they have seven children and a growing number of grandchildren.
