I think I just became a Florida State University Seminoles fan! Keep reading to find out why.
Sixth grader Bo Paske usually sits alone during lunch. He is autistic and has trouble fitting in with the other kids. But on Tuesday, several Seminoles were visiting the Tallahassee middle school when one of the players, wide receiver Travis Rudolph, walked up to Paske and asked if he could join him at the table.
A friend of the boy’s mother captured the sweet moment with her camera and sent it to her with this message: “Travis Rudolph is eating lunch with your son.”
Leah Paske’s response was so funny: “Who is that?”
But the tears began to flow when she learned he was a big college football player.
“I’m not sure what exactly made this incredibly kind man share a lunch table with my son, but I’m happy to say that it will not soon be forgotten,” she wrote on Facebook.
And Bo was super excited. “I was just so psyched. Like an FSU football player just came and sat with me!” he said.
His mother added, ”This is one day I didn’t have to worry if my sweet boy ate lunch alone, because he sat across from someone who is a hero in many eyes.”
Rudolph went one step further and offered the family his cell phone number in case Bo ever needs to talk and then invited them to come and meet the whole team one day. The family is now fans for life.
The mother’s Facebook post is so touching. Read it below:
